Terms of Service
Last updated 17 September 2026These terms cover your use of Challan Chopadi. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What the service is
Challan Chopadi is a web application for recording job-work challans: what a vepari handed over, what was promised back and when, which carbon copies have returned, and whether payment has been made. It is a register that can count and remind. Nothing more is claimed for it.
It is not an accounting, invoicing or statutory compliance system.
Challan Chopadi does not produce GST invoices, does not generate e-way bills, does not file returns, and is not a book of account. It does not replace any record you are required by law to keep. Keep your statutory records as you keep them today. Treat anything in this app as a working note, not as evidence.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use it on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password and your email account secure, and for everything done through your account. Use a password you have not used elsewhere. Tell us promptly at jaybhinsara9@gmail.com if you believe someone else has access.
Your workspace and the people in it
The person who creates a workspace controls it. Only that owner can invite co-workers or remove them. Anyone invited can see and change the challans in that workspace, so invite only people you trust with your business records — an invite link is effectively a key.
You are responsible for what you and your invited co-workers enter, including the personal details of the veparis you record. See the Privacy Policy for how that responsibility is divided.
Your data is yours
You keep all rights to everything you enter. We claim no ownership of your challan records and we do not use them for any purpose other than running the service for you. We grant ourselves only the narrow permission needed to store, process and display your data back to you and your workspace members.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to store data you have no right to hold;
- attempt to reach another workspace’s data, probe or circumvent the authorisation the service applies;
- disrupt the service — automated scraping, load that degrades it for others, attempts to break it;
- resell or redistribute the service as your own product.
Availability
We intend for the service to be available and dependable, but we do not offer a service level guarantee. There will be maintenance, there may be outages, and features may change or be withdrawn. This is a young product, developed actively, and it should be treated as such.
Because of that: your challan book remains your fallback. Do not become dependent on this being the only record of an obligation that matters to you.
Price
The service is currently provided free of charge. If a paid plan is introduced, existing account holders will be told in advance and will never be charged without first agreeing to it.
Ending it
You may stop using the service and ask for your account to be deleted at any time, without giving a reason. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Except in cases of abuse, we will give you notice and a chance to export your data first.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost business, or loss arising from a challan that was not delivered on time, a copy that was not chased, or a payment that was not collected. Our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, while the service is free, is nil.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them, and material changes will be notified to account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gujarat, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
